Work & Services

Maybe I can help you.

Let me be upfront about one thing: I’m not a programmer

My strengths lean more toward understanding problems and building solutions than writing everything from scratch myself.

I usually combine an understanding of processes and data with the right tools to solve a specific task. When needed, I can still read, check, and adjust code generated by AI.

If you’d like to know more about me, how I work, and what I care about, you’re welcome to visit About me.

Thinking through your problem togetherClarify the problem together and find a sensible next step.

These are things I’m fairly confident I can help with.

Are you facing a problem at work but unsure where to start? Is a process taking too much time? Or do you have an idea you’re not sure is possible?

Together, we can:

  • Understand and analyze the problem.
  • Discuss and research possible approaches.
  • Weigh the advantages and drawbacks of each option.
  • Identify the next step to try or the information we’re still missing.

I can’t be sure we’ll always find a solution. But I’m fairly confident that a conversation can leave us with a clearer understanding of the problem and what to do next.

Work I can take on directlyExcel, Google Sheets, and small tools that reduce repetitive tasks.

These are the kinds of work I’m confident taking on.

I can help with data tasks and moderately complex automation, especially:

  • Processing, cleaning, consolidating, and cross-checking Excel files with large amounts of data.
  • Building or improving Google Sheets and Google Apps Script solutions that aren’t too complex.
  • Writing small tools to reduce repetitive work with Excel.
  • Automating data-processing steps within an agreed process.

My goal is quite simple: reduce the work you have to do over and over, so you have time for what matters more.

If a request is beyond what I can currently do, I’ll be clear about that before taking it on.

Things I’d like to experiment with togetherML and specialized AI, starting with whether the problem is feasible.

These are areas I can research and develop, but feasibility needs to be assessed before I commit to an outcome.

A few examples:

  • Forecasting: Building a model to predict a value from historical data.
  • Finding patterns: Exploring useful patterns or relationships in data.
  • Detecting anomalies: Building a system to identify and monitor changes worth paying attention to.
  • Specialized AI: Building an LLM assistant that can use knowledge, documents, or data belonging to you or your business.

I use the word experiment because these problems depend on many things: the amount and quality of the data, knowledge of the field, and whether the problem is technically feasible in the first place.

Not every value can be predicted. Not every dataset contains patterns useful enough to work with.

That’s why I’d like to begin by assessing feasibility, then decide whether to invest more time and money in developing it further.

Let’s have a conversation first

The truth is, I really enjoy conversations, sharing ideas, and thinking through a problem with someone.

So conversations and brainstorming with me are free, whether or not we end up finding a solution.

I only charge once we actually agree that I’ll carry out a specific piece of work, such as in-depth research, data processing, building a tool, or developing a solution.

And, of course, we’ll always discuss the scope and cost clearly before we begin.

So if there’s something you’d like to ask, an idea you want to try, or simply a problem you’re curious about, feel free to send me a message.

Who knows? We might discover something interesting together.
